Female Focus was founded in 1993 as a magazine specifically for women & now has a strong, well established following, serving both the English speaking resident community and visitors along the coastal resorts as well as the inland areas of the Costa Blanca.
Female Focus now has a monthly distribution of thirty-eight thousand copies from Valencia to to San Pedro (Murcia).

Since the conception of the magazine distribution has quadrupled and our average copy has grown from twenty-four to eighty-four pages of full colour quality. This rate of growth is due to the fact that we have filled a niche in the market, the vastly untapped and strong area of female readership.
Female Focus is aimed towards all English speaking ladies, however, according to the response of our readers survey (Oct 2003); we have also gained a very strong male readership. The magazine is read by all nationalities including Spanish, German, Dutch, Scandinavian etc.
Female Focus, as a free magazine, relies on its advertisers and it is they who have propelled us forward, become increasingly aware of the undoubted evidence of a very considerable ‘woman-reader’ interest shown in the response they receive to their advertising campaigns.
Female Focus was always aimed towards the middle aged, in our opinion, this age bracket have three important factors for our advertisers;- TIME, FINANCIAL SECURITY and HEALTH. This age group are normally retired or semi-retired here in Spain and so have the time, money and energy to enjoy themselves and follow their hobbies and ambitions. They also have the resources to splash out on the luxury items be it an extravagant car, beauty treatment or annual cruise. In recent years however, we have seen a lowering in the average age of the English speaking resident community. We are now seeing an influx of young professionals making a new life here. In view of this, the magazine continues to introduce many new features to appeal to this younger group such as the ‘Celebrity Focus’ section.
