Female Focus Clubs and Groups on the Costa Blanca

THERE´S A POETRY GROUP COMING NEAR YOU!
Stanza Mar Menor is a new poetry group linked to the UK Poetry Society.
Its Inaugural Meeting will take place on Wednesday 17th September 2008 from 10am to12 midday on the 1st floor of the Civic Centre in the Parque Almansa in San Javier.
We aim to hold our meetings fortnightly in this venue.
We intend to have poetry workshops in English and Spanish where Stanza members can read their own current work in progress and secondly, a selected poem by contemporary poets. The main activity is to help people develop their own work in progress within the stanza group. We also aim to invite poets to come along and give readings and discuss their work. A wider objective is to promote creative collaborative work with visual artists, musicians and photographers.
This is an open invitation for people interested in poetry to come along to our Inaugural Session and meet like-minded poets and writers.

New Sevillanas club meets last Sunday of each month in the Orihuela Costa resort (La Zenia). Open to anyone who enjoys Spanish culture and wants to know more about flamenco and Spain in general. A social afternoon, integrated with mini shows from students of Raquel Peña’s flamenco dance school, and a chance to watch or dance Sevillanas. For more information call 630 689 431.

Is a group to bring ALL like-minded people together who are Reiki healers, where we can give healing to each other and exchange information, be supportive, have meditations, and send healing out to wherever it is needed. This group has been meeting for almost two years.

We are holding a Caribbean style BBQ on Friday 20th June in Restaurant La Vall in Jalon, situated in front of the Lady Elizabeth school. Starting at 7.30 for 8 p.m. Ticket Price: 20 euros per person gratuities included with Live Music by Paul Simon Wright

Javea Branch of the British Legion will be meeting at Scallops Restaurant, Arenal at 11am on Tuesday. We meet on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and will be pleased to welcome new members. There is a good social calendar planned for the autumn/winter season. We look forward to seeing you.
