Female Focus Clubs and Groups on the Costa Blanca

One of the most popular clubs within ADAPT is the Conversation Class which takes place each Saturday morning at the Casino, San Pedro del Pinatar. This is a Spanish/English speaking class, the aim of which, as with many of the ADAPT projects, is to promote integration. The atmosphere is very friendly and informal and quite a few friendships are developing within the club while members are learning the language in a very relaxed way.

The class has at the moment around 60 members and this is well balanced at about 50/50 Spanish and English speaking people. Until further notice we are unable to take in new members but have a waiting list for anyone wishing to join as places become available.

A caring group of people who have all experienced the loss of a partner, family member or friend to cancer meet to support and share with others who understand this kind of loss.

We meet at the Cancer Care Centre in Javea Park on the first Thursday of each month at 11.00am. Margaret a qualified counsellor is available and our meetings and counselling service are free of charge and strictly confidential.

ArtHouse Gallery has been open for one year now and as a celebration of this we are holding an exhibition showing work that has been produced in the gallery during this time.

This exciting week long exhibition will show the work of 15 different local artists, from both professional and amateur backgrounds. The artists all have one thing in common, they all attend classes at ArtHouse Gallery. We are proud of the fact that we train artists of all levels of ability, from complete beginners to more established artists that simply want to develop their skills. The exhibition houses a highly diverse range of paintings with a variety of styles. Some of these artists have been drawing and painting for a period of only of six weeks, while others have been painting for many years. Providing you with an interesting overview of talent. It is a great example of how anyone can pick up a paintbrush and with the right guidance have the capability to produce beautiful artwork to a very high standard. The exhibition will also allow the public to see the work of local artists who would not normally have the opportunity to exhibit. As always we are committed to bringing you local art produced by people that live in the area taking inspiration from all that we see around us. Bringing you Art that you can relate to, understand and enjoy.
