Founding Of A New Lions Club Altea – La Nucia

April 19th, 2010

Under the guidance of Paul Welter, active member of Lions Club Alfaz Del Pi since 1995, together with Yolanda Vrugtman, John Heerspink, An De Cuyper and Walter Cauwenbergh, a new, active and dynamic Lions Club is to be created. Our main areas of activity will be Altea and La Nucia, although we will also be present in other areas of the Marina Baixa.

We organise all sorts of cultural, sports and fun activities to raise funds to help those in need.

Everybody is welcome to become a member of a Lions Club, disregarding faith or opinion. The most important thing is to be willing to spend some of one’s free time to help realise our goals.

At the moment we have 15 members of different nationalities. Any active people who would like to join, are most welcome.

Interested? Have a look on our website www.lionsmb.es. You can contact our club for more information, or get to know us through email at info@lionsmb.es or call our vice president and member of the new members commission John Heespink at 618 345 980.

We meet every second and last Thursday of the month at 8pm at Ptda Cap Blanc 70, local 10, 1º, 03590 Altea.

THE SPIRITUAL AWARENESS SOCIETY OF QUESADA

April 14th, 2010

We are an international group, but mainly British Ex- Pats who are like minded in our approach to spirituality and an understanding of what The Spiritual aspect of life is all about. We meet at the Sociedad Compas, 14 Calle de Toledo, Ciudad Quesada (next to the Country Club).

We hold a religious service every Sunday at 11.30am, of a spiritual but, nonconformist nature where everyone feels welcome. We also hold a meeting on a Tuesday evening at 7.30pm.

We are affiliated to a registered charity in the UK. We offer a listening ear if you need a friend. We like to be involved in the local community and, proceeds we receive from our Harvest Festival go to a local animal charity.

After the Sunday Service and on Thursday evening, we offer Spiritual Healing, to anyone who feels in need of help. Our healers are members of a recognised UK healing body and adhere strictly to a regulated Code of Conduct, to ensure all patients are treated in a professional, but compassionate manner.

In addition to the above, we hold other activities on a regular basis, such as an Open Developing Circle and Workshops and occasional social evenings.

Please see what’s on section of www.female-focus.com for forthcoming events.
