Katie Reillys Golf Society Presidents DayFriday 18th June saw 21 members and guests from Katie Reillys Golf Society head for Las Ramblas on a beautifully warm morning to compete for the Presidents Trophy. There should have been 22 of us but for some reason known only to himself, Society President Peter Deaves had deemed it necessary to attempt to cut his right index finger off the previous day with a Stanley knife and, as the wound required 11 stitches, he was unable to play.  ARSON ATTACK ON JAVEA RUGBY CLUBIn the early hours of Saturday morning the Javea Bulls club house was set on fire by vandals. The club lost all the rugby equipment, as well as the new kitchen that was installed ready for the Mini-Bulls family barbecue on Sunday, as well as all the food and drink.  CRESCENDO sing at QUESADAOn Saturday May 29th, Crescendo presented an evening of music and song at Quesada Casa de Cultura. Entry was free but there was a bucket collection at the end for the charity “CARITAS”.
As always, the choir sang a very varied programme ranging from “Gloria” in Latin to swing numbers like “Chattanooga Choo Choo” and “String of Pearls”. Highlight of the concert was their beautiful “I Believe/ Ave Maria”. Click here for the full story |

 MABS PARTY IN THE PARKIn June 2009, MABS celebrated their tenth anniversary with a party; that party proved to be such a success that people asked them to have a regular, annual event and ‘Party in the Park’ was born.
